Business and community leaders, principals exchange roles and ideas as part of job- shadow program

At the wrap-up event for the Clark County School District's 2012 Business and Community Leader & Principal for a Day program, Deputy Superintendent Pat Skorkowsky spoke about the importance of community involvement in education. He noted that efforts such as the job shadow program, coordinated by the School-Community Partnership office, provide an opportunity for local leaders to see the challenges and successes of the schools and for principals to obtain feedback and suggestions from the business community. On Nov. 28, the participants spent the morning in various schools, experiencing the roles of principals, and then met as a group with district staff to exchange insights and ideas for future collaboration.
