CCSD names Pat Skorkowsky new deputy superintendent

Superintendent Dwight D. Jones announced today that Pat Skorkowsky will serve as the new deputy superintendent for the Clark County School District, replacing Pedro Martinez, who left to become the superintendent of the Washoe County School District. Skorkowsky has worked for CCSD for more than 24 years, serving as a teacher, elementary school principal, middle school principal, academic manager and most recently as an associate superintendent. "Pat was a critical partner for Mr. Martinez this year in instituting our reform initiatives. He believes in the path we have taken to raise the academic bar and ensure every child is Ready by Exit," Jones said. "Pat's professional motto is "Every student, every classroom, without excuses, without exception." I think that's just right."
