Reclaim Your Future Mentoring Project

Deputy Superintendent Pat Skorkowsky, and Justice Court Judge Diana Sullivan were among the speakers at a November 16, 2012, news conference that focused on the Reclaim Your Future Mentoring Project and its success in helping students graduate from high school. Planning for the project began in November 2011, and the first group of volunteer mentors - 58 in all - started in March 2012. Since then, the program has grown exponentially, now boasting 208 mentors and mentor candidates. These adult mentors come from all walks of life, but all share an interest in public education and a desire to play a part in the success of students. Those wishing to become a mentor can apply online at For more information, call the School-Community Partnership Program at 799-6560.
